Back to Back Explosions!

What a weekend! Saturday was the largest outreach in the history of GracePoint. The Easter Egg Drop in Andover was unbelievable. There were TONS of people there. Over 1,500 by our most conservative estimates. I have never seen 20,000 plus eggs and an Easter bunny coming out of a helicopter in my life! The GP team did an amazing job of pulling this off with games, prizes, moon walks, etc. There was alot of buzz among the crowd and people were asking about GP coming east.

Then Easter was off the charts. It was the largest worship experience in GP’s history with approximately 1,100 people on hand to celebrate the resurrection. Most importantly, we had tons of people make first time commitments to Christ! The Linkin Park song with video was as good as I have seen anywhere, ever. Finally, we shared the final numbers from the UNLEASH campaign. Total commitments over 2 years was 2.16 million! Our kids committed over $28,000! Celebration Sunday brought in the first gifts for UNLEASH totalling over $111,000!

All of the pieces are being put in place to reach this city on both the east and west sides. God is opening doors like never before and bringing the people needed to fulfill His vision. This is such an exciting time to be in ministry, with opportunties that are limitless. Big weekends like this remove barriers and allow a church to take major steps of growth. This was one of those weekends.   

I want to thank all of the volunteers and staff for all of your hard work to pull this weekend off. You guys rock. Our staff team is taking Monday off. We are going to enjoy a day of rest and relaxation, and it is well deserved.
